I bought a Magic Bullet.
I am beyond excited.
Now I can make chocolate, banana, peanut butter protein shakes for after work outs.
Oh my gosh, my college life has just been changed.
I took out my jug of protein powder on the shuttle to look at the nutrition and this guy looks over and goes, “Protein powder? I didn’t peg you as the protein type.”
Wow. That’s annoying.

Today's Workout:
Ugh. Today’s workout sucked. It was just one of those days. I wasn’t focused, I was so tired even though I wasn’t going nearly as hard as I usually do… Even my stretching sucked, I just wasn’t into it. I feel terrible because I gave myself a full day off yesterday, and I did awful today. Oh well. Back on track tomorrow I guess. We all have these days.

Oh, and also, I just want to share something funny my roommate and I are doing.
We woke up late (college students + weekend = waking up at 1), so we ate at 2. We have to eat at 5 before the caf closes, and we’re not even close to being hungry.
So every five minutes we’re going to stop homework, get up and do two minutes of running in place and 2 minutes of jumping jacks.

I have done so well this week. Like really.
Today I’m FORCING myself to have a day off. No gym, no counting calories, no worries. I’m just going to eat and do homework and then go to work. This week I’ve done really well, so I just want to give myself a break to have a treat day.
And then right back on track tomorrow!
(ps. See’s scotchmallow’s are only 70 calories...

Today's Workout:
I haven’t been this sore in a long time, so working out sucked. But I sucked it up.
35 minutes of med/high/reallyfreakinghigh intensity elliptical
20 minutes of intense stretching (almost in my splits, ah yeah)
does buzzing around at work for 3.5 hours count?
I must have adapted to the taste of protein bars. I used to hate it, now it’s like candy.

What is your favorite healthy food/meal to eat?
I love anything with chicken and broccoli! Probably two of my favorite foods! I have a great garlic chicken recipe and an awesome broccoli beef recipe that I love to eat when I’m home!
Also, no better breakfast than wheat toast, with a little butter, and scrambled eggs :)

What is(are) your favorite song(s) to listen to while working out?
Anything angry/loud with a good guitar solo or something with a really good, fast beat. Ideal songs are ones that are slower, then get a lot faster/louder at the chorus so I can do HIIT to them. ;) Basically anything that’s NOT slow or quiet, haha!

Today's Workout:
60 minutes of med/high intensity elliptical
30 minutes of stretching
I think I overdid it. My legs are complete noodles right now. I’ll cut back to 45 minutes tomorrow I think.
I was thinking of quitting, but then I heard Jillian Michaels in my head yelling that I wasn’t dead yet.
If you want to get fit, you better get used to being really, really sweaty.
