The first thing I’d say is prepare to quite possibly hate it at first. I did. I used to legitimately hate yoga and whenever someone would invite me to do it with them I’d go off on how much I hated it. I hated it because I wasn’t strong and I wasn’t flexible. I’m just one of those people who doesn’t like something until I’m good at it, haha! But don’t give up or get discouraged! I swear it gets better. Yoga is aaaamazing!
If you want to just try some videos out to get the gist of it, try Tara Stiles on Youtube or doyogawithme.com. If you are a gym member a lot of times they have free yoga classes you can take. Or you can even find a local studio!
But in between yoga, try doing some strength exercises like pilates or weight lifting and stretch plenty as well.
There really is no perfect yoga. Doing each pose as best as you can is doing perfect yoga. So modifications are wonderful, and just do your best. :)
